Marbling is an ancient art of floating colours onto a bath of liquid gelatine. Combs and rakes are used to manipulate the colours into patterns. A sheet of chemically treated paper is then laid onto the surface to transfer the colours/image. Once transferred, the bath is cleaned and you would need to repeat the process for the next sheet of paper. Thus, each print is unique and original.
I have been using the traditional marbling technique to produce unique art pieces which I called " Marbled Graphics " TM since 2000. Collections of my marbling art can be found worldwide, most notably Fisher Rarebooks Library Toronto and The Met in NYC.
You can purchase my marbling art directly under SHOP page. Or you can purchase them directly from me in person in downtown Toronto.
Each of my marbled paper is individually hand marbled by me one sheet at the time using traditional marbling technique. They measure 18" x 24" and are perfect for bookbinders, crafters, framers or day dreamers/collectors.
